Art Gemini 2014 painting prize was awarded to Eigil Nordstrom for his painting Recollection (of the light slipping over a step), with the second prize in the painting and sculpture category going to Pascal Pierme for his work Les Origines 96, 2013.

Three artists won prizes for their photographs. Ellie Davies for her work, Stars 8, 2014, was judged the winner in the category of Photography while Thorsten von Overgaard’s Shadowland, 2013, received the second prize in the category. The third winning photograph was Hombre en el Metro, 2012, by Amalia Turkieltaub, under Young Artist under 25 Category.
Cleo Wilkinson’s mezzotint, Murmur, 2011, was highly commended.
A Public Choice Prize will be awarded to the artist with the most votes from visitors to the exhibition, which is open to 1 November (except Sunday) from 11:00 to 18:00. More info at http://www.artgeminiprize.com
